About Randall Cabinets & Design

Designers, Joe Randall & Richard Randall complete design work on a one-on-one basis with each customer to create a design that is truly unique to each project. Their lifelong experience in the building and design trade, give them the ability to visualize spaces and make a very creative and functional room.

As the design consultant, Joe will oversee the project and help to coordinate work with other trades in the most orderly manner possible. Using their incredible eye for kitchen design along with a large selection of cabinets offered in the Haas line of cabinets, we can create a beautiful finished kitchen at a moderate price. We proudly sell nothing but 100% American-made cabinets made either in our custom shop in Wapella, Illinois or by Haas Cabinets in Southern Indiana.

Installation is done by Randall Cabinets & Design to ensure the project is right the first time. The craftsman at Randall Cabinets have over 80 combined years of experience installing everything from the simplest mirror frame to the most complicated kitchen design.

Richard & Marlene Randall

Richard Randall, founder of Randall Cabinets and Design, Inc.,

has been creating original woodworking pieces since he was a youth.

Richard credits his late father, Gerald Randall, with encouraging him to take wood shop at Maine East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois. Between his father’s support and an outstanding instructor, Bruce Kelly, Richard was able to pursue a career that he truly enjoys.

Noteworthy Accomplishments

  • Added 8 additional new Sub Zero and Wolf appliances for a total of 13 to become the largest displaying dealer between Chicago and St. Louis 2011
  • Moved our operation to a new facility in Wapella doubling our manufacturing area and enlarging our showroom 2007
  • Designed and built kitchen for original Frank Lloyd Wright home in Glencoe, IL  1999
  • Designed and built kitchen on Gold Coast in Chicago, IL 1998
  • Cover of Home Design Magazine September 1, 1988
  • Built over 100 kitchens and 1000’s of bookcases, fireplace surrounds, entertainment centers, bars and vanities in the central and northern Illinois area
  • The featured cover story in Our Business section of The Pantagraph “Quality Comes out of the Woodwork” October 15, 2010 celebrating 30 years in business.

  • Studied woodworking at Illinois State University
  • Worked on construction crews for homebuilder and in cabinet shops in Illinois, Georgia & Texas from 1972-1976
  • Partner, Baldwin Manufacturing, Beaumont, Texas, homebuilder and custom cabinet shop from 1976-1980
  • Began Central Illinois Wood Works in 1980. Have built thousands of projects in the central and northern Illinois area.
  • Certified Corian Fabricator in 1985

Joe Randall, lead designer of Randall Cabinets and Design, Inc.

has been working closely with Richard since a very young age.

Aside from working side by side with Richard on a number of projects in the office and in the field, Joe Randall has been a successful professional wood refinisher since 2010.

Background Experience

  • Life long experience in Randall Cabinet’s workshop
  • Worked through college in Southern Illinois Universities’ woodshop teaching classes on woodworking and safety.
  • Refinished over twenty church pews 12 feet in length for the Wapella Christian Church
  • Refinishing business during college and post college years
